Here I am after running 5km with the team in training crew. I've been running for over a year and a half now, so the 5km run wasn't a problem. However I'm not a morning person and waking up at 7am was challenging. When my alarm went off, I almost turned it off and went back to bed. But I'll admit it was nice to get in a run while most of the city was still in bed. I won't be able to make all the Saturday sessions because of work, so it was nice to make it out to the first one!
Here's the route we ran:

Stephanie Runs!!
As many of you know, my mother-in-law, Lynne Xamin, has been battling lymphoma (a type of blood cancer) for the past 10 years. This is extremely hard on her and our entire family, yet she handles it with grace.
Inspired by her struggle, I have joined Team In Training and committed to training for (and running!) the Nike Women's half Marathon in San Francisco this fall in her honour. Team in Training is a fantastic organization that helps runners like me train to reach our goals and in the process raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
I plan on using this blog to keep you updated on my training and my fundraising efforts. If you've already sponsored me thank you! If not tthere's still time!!
